Stage 1 – Applying for Canada (DIY Version)
Welcome to Stage 1 of AukSun’s DIY Immigration Course!
Thank you for choosing AukSun’s Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Immigration Course to guide you through your Canadian immigration journey. This self-guided course is designed to help you understand and manage each step of the immigration process yourself, using our detailed instructions, checklists, tools, and resources, all available online for your convenience.
Before You Begin: Assess Your Eligibility
Before starting your application process, it’s important to understand your eligibility for Canada’s Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).
Step 1: Check Your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score
If you have not yet calculated your CRS score, now is the time to do it. Your CRS score helps you understand how competitive your profile is in the Express Entry pool.
Use the official CRS Calculator:
Check your CRS Score
Step 2: Convert Your IELTS to CLB Levels
Your language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, etc.) are a critical component of your CRS score. To proceed, you’ll need to understand how your IELTS bands convert into CLB levels (Canadian Language Benchmarks).
Use this IELTS to CLB Conversion Tool:

Complete Your Immigration Client Information Form
To help you organize your details and documentation—and to ensure you have all the information ready for filling out official forms—AukSun has provided a Immigration Client Information Form.
This form acts as your personal profile builder, helping you gather all the essential information required for the immigration application process.
Download the Immigration Client Information Form (link provided).
Fill it out accurately with your complete personal, educational, work experience, and family details.
This completed form will be your reference document when filling out your official immigration forms directly on the IRCC website.
Important Notes
- Pay careful attention to dates, spellings, and consistency when filling out forms. All details should match your passport, educational certificates, work records, and other supporting documents.
- Keep digital and hard copies of all supporting documents organized in a dedicated folder for easy access.
